How you can help

Help comes in many forms within our P&C Association. We all lead busy lives nowadays so whatever way you participate is greatly appreciated and understood. All help is welcome!

Canteen

The P&C manages the Canteen. Volunteers are required to ensure we can keep providing this service. Volunteering can take the form of:

  • Baking Anzac biscuits to be sold in the canteen
  • Taking a shift in the canteen once or twice a term. Shifts can be 2hrs or longer depending on your availability. It is not difficult work, is a great way to meet other parents and gives you a view of the school and the students that you may not otherwise see. Your kids love it too! New volunteers will always be rostered with an experienced volunteer.
  • Taking on a role to help coordinate and manage the canteen service. These include Canteen Coordinator, Canteen Treasurer, Fresh Food Shopping, Ordering and restocking.

To volunteer in the canteen in some way, please contact the canteen coordinator.

More information is available on the Canteen including menu, pricing, volunteer jobs and opening hours.

Uniform Shop

The Uniform Shop is also managed by the P&C and requires volunteers to open the shop on Friday mornings between 8:45am-10am. Volunteering can take the form of:

  • Being present in the shop to take uniform orders and payments,
  • Taking on a Uniform Shop Coordinator role, where you will co-manage the running of the Uniform Shop in regards to stock, supply and finances.

To volunteer in the Uniform Shop in some way, please contact the Uniform Shop Coordinator.

Attendance at P&C Meetings

P&C meetings are open to all parents/caregivers and interested community members. Attending a meeting allows you to raise and discuss issues or ideas that you think are important. Financial Membership allows you to vote at the meeting. We encourage you to attend the next meeting if possible, or at least view the Agenda and subsequent Minutes.

Sub-committees for Fundraising or community building events

Each Fundraising or community building event that the P&C organises requires a few heads to be put together for brainstorming and to make the event happen. Financial membership is not a requirement to be involved in a sub-committee. Please contact the President of the P&C to express interest in any of the following sub-committees:

  • Canteen
  • Next large Fundraising Event (TBA)

Donate Goods or Services for Fundraising Events

P&C events sometimes involve a call for donations of goods or services which can be raffled off in order to help raise money for the school. Any donations, large or small, will be gratefully accepted. To offer a donation for a fundraising event, please contact the President of the P&C.
